“There’s a great soulful feel to Riverchild’s
music” – Baylen Leonard / Amazing Radio.

“Hes fantastic, we like this a lot” – BBC Introducing

“For someone so anti-mainstream, River Child sure knows how to teach the scene a thing or two by inhabiting its world from the point of radio-ready singles. On the flipside of things, though, he is purely and unabashedly folk to his very core.” – For Folks Sake.

Dan Ferguson –

Dan was one half of roots duo Young Causeway, he has now embarked on an exciting new solo project. These songs have been brewing for the past five years, with influences rooted in country, blues, Irish and contemporary folk. They have developed in the many groups he’s played with, and he’s brought some of those collaborations to these new sounds.

Jack Ellister –

Jack Ellister is a London (via Holland) based singer/songwriter of the acid and psychedelic kind. His productions are both poppy in character and heavy with the whiff of a druggier, bygone age.
With his vinyl-releases on Fruits De Mer Records, he has caught the attention of Shindig!, NME, BBC6 Music’s Stuart Maconie and BBC Radio 2’s Mark Radcliffe, and many others…

With Sun –

Helen O’Hara & Will Allen –

Helen and Will are a melodeon and fiddle duo specialising in traditional English dance music. They take dance tunes from as long ago as the 1700s and give them a blast of modern day musicianship.

Danny Leigh –

Monthly host and organiser of The Acoustic Folk Highway since August 2014, Danny Leigh is an acoustic singer/songwriter inspired by a variety of different styles of music such as English Folk, Americana, Jazz, Reggae and Classical. Danny has played by Mandrea Music Festival (Trento, northern Italy) two years running, toured Ireland and Cornwall, been featured on BBC Introducing: The South and had his song ‘No More Running’ recorded at The Roundhouse for the 30:30 Compilation CD.

“Your lyrics are just beautiful, it’s a rarity, a real rarity in today’s genre of music. The lyrics just flow with the music, the whole thing collated together is just beautiful!” – Emma Adams (Bar des Arts event organiser and stage choreographer).

“I have to mention Nick Drake, he has a beautiful voice, he can clearly write some good songs.” – Steve Hillier (BBC Introducing: The South radio broadcast)

“I think that’s just the most hypnotizing voice I’ve heard all evening. That’s what the text book definition of ‘Folk Voice’ should be.” – Nick Coquet (BBC Introducing: The South radio broadcast)

Tickets cost £7 on the door.
