The Acoustic Folk Highway

Monthly residency, The Acoustic Folk Highway showcases fresh, new music inspired by the Folk and Acoustic genres by bands, duos and solo singer/songwriters in The Harrison’s theatre-style basement venue.

LINE UP:

Copper Viper

Copper Viper is an acoustic folk duo from London, comprised of prolific songwriter and guitarist Robin Joel Sangster and fiddle/mandolin player Duncan Menzies.

Drawing inspiration from the British folk and American country/bluegrass traditions, Copper Viper craft intricate vocal harmonies, memorable melodies and blistering instrumental sections.

Eva Jacobs

Packed with soulful lyrics and impressive, classic melodies, this is the music of Belgium born Eva Jacobs. After impressing the audience of The Voice, Belgium, she was described as the ‘Top Favourite’ only months after her upbeat & joyous single ‘Shine’ was released from her debut album ‘Eva Jacobs’. Played by the infamous radio station Radio 2 BE and MNM BE, Eva’s music was being heard by thousands of ears across the country.

Unfinished with her national television appearances, her passionate & captivating performance in front of thousands at the Eurosong Contest 2014 was awarded 3rd place. After gaining national recognition and touring her home country, Eva has decided to bring her music to the UK.

Tim Brooks

A singer songwriter, but not as you know it.
Combining the rock music of my youth, the songwriting chops of modern wordsmiths such as Frank Turner and Brian Fallon, and the grit and passion of Springsteen, I am looking to start kicking up a fuss around the London and surrounding area, as a singer songwriter, but not in the convential sense.

Having already performed as a solo acoustic artist at some of London’s best venues such as 93 Ft East, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz club, The Fiddler’s Elbow, The Bedford and The Half Moon, as well as making it through to the live stage of the prestigious Coffee Music Project, I am now setting my sights on making waves in a full band setting.

With my debut full electric EP already out across multiple social platforms, a live album to come in november, and a second EP due in 2018, you can guarantee that you will be hearing a lot from me in the future.

Jacob March

“A poetic lyricist and a fantastic guitarist – a deadly and quite frankly unusual combination.” – We Love Brighton.

Danny Leigh

Monthly host and organiser of ‘The Acoustic Folk Highway’ since August 2014, Danny Leigh is an acoustic singer/songwriter frequently likened to artists such as: Nick Drake and John Martyn. Career highlights include touring Ireland and Cornwall, playing guitar for Tom Odell, performing on the Banjo Budda Stage at Mandrea Music Festival, Lake Garda and supporting Leddra Chapman and Syd Arthur at The Boileroom, Guildford.

“I think that’s just the most hypnotizing voice I’ve heard all evening. That’s what the text book definition of ‘Folk Voice’ should be.” Nick Coquet (BBC Introducing)

Tickets cost £7 on the door.
