FreakFolk Records presents..
Bity Booker & Entertainment for the Braindead at The Harrison
Friday 16th of February 2018, 8pm.
Come to the cosy basement at The Harrison to listen to precious folk music by Bity Booker and EFTB.
By the way, this will be EFTB first time playing in London – we shall give her a marvellous welcome!
Entertainment for the Braindead is the solo project of Berlin based singer and multi-instrumentalist Julia Kotowski. Despite the brutal name, she dedicates herself to creating mostly very quiet sounds, weaving the noises of small instruments, field recordings and delicate vocal arrangements into introvert folk songs. On stage she weaves soft synths into layered guitar loops and velveteen choirs of her own voice, and knows the magic spells to make a noisy room go quiet.
Bity Booker is a folk singer and singer/songwriter. Bity sings her own folk songs with classical guitar, voice, a bird-shaped whistle and bells. Bity grew up in the Italian countryside in an house with many animals and lives her troubadour life between Australia, Italy and United Kingdom. Be prepared to delve deep into Bity Booker’s musical world and listen to fantastic stories about a mouse, parrots, Mr sparrow, stars, trees, horses, birds. Each song is a character with a timeless personality and melody.
