Edinburgh Preview: Bec Hill & David Trent @ The Harrison

Now in in it’s 6th year The Schadenfreude Cabaret’s Edinburgh Preview Season brings a selection of the finest acts to The Harrison throughout June and July.

The beautiful surroundings of The Basement Bar make the perfect environment to see this summers most innovative, creative and funny shows before they head up to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Season has consistently featured in the capital’s ‘must see gigs’. Our regular comedy club is listed by Time Out as one of the Top Ten Free Clubs in London. As always the line up is an eclectic mix with something for everyone. From established TV regulars and award winners to this years hotly tipped rising stars.

The venue regularly packs out so this year you can guarantee a seat to any of our double bills for just £5 or alternatively, just show up on the night and pay what you want at the end of the show.

Bec Hill: Out of Order

Bec Hill provides the jokes. You provide the order. A brand-new hour full of stand-up, pop-ups and post-its from the award-winning Australian comedian. ‘I adored it’ ***** (Edinburgh Festivals Magazine). ‘Brilliantly conceived, this is one of the stand-out shows in this year’s comedy programme’ ***** (Sunday Herald). ‘A pleasure to watch’ ***** (EdinburghGuide.com). Inaugural winner of the Edinburgh Fringe Barry Performers’ Choice Award for Best Show.

David Trent: Here’s Your Future

Take a deep breath and join me on a multimedia rampage. I’ll stare down the world’s most disturbing kids animation, smart forks and mattresses, virtual bedtimes, robosex, gay cakes, international hummus day and the European light bulb directive. I’ve been on television nine times and nominated for major comedy awards. It’s going to be a lot of late-night fun. All welcome. No bans. ‘His meticulous deconstruction and righteous exasperation makes him a master of the genre’ (Chortle.co.uk). ‘Sugared target missiles, aimed squarely at the heads of bigots and phonies’ (List).

‘Perfect comedy’ (ThreeWeeks).
