29th April 2018 @ 7:30 pm – 11:00 pm

A friendly evening of music featuring:

Alistair McFarlane:
Alistair is a singer/songwriter who plays acoustic 6 string and 12
string guitar. He has a deep rich voice and his lyrics sometimes deal
with darker places, but are hidden stealthily and hooked into
irresistible tunes. He released his debut solo album “Sleeping With
Yourself” at the beginning of the millennium and he describes it as
“Atmospheric: Dreamlike; Shadowy; Fairly Dark; Occasionally Light;
Possibly Introspective; Probably Self-indulgent “.
Expect beautifully intense songs, great guitar playing and mesmerising

Brendan Power:
UK-based New Zealander Brendan Power is acknowledged by many as one of
the most creative, skilled & versatile harmonica players around today.
Equally at ease on both the earthy Blues Harp as well as the
sophisticated Chromatic Harmonica, he tunes them to his own scales to
create a highly original style. He has recorded over twenty solo CDs to
date, in a wide variety of musical genres. “In Power are combined all
the elements which make for a master player: remarkable technical skill,
deep knowledge of the instrument, and a truly creative approach to the
music.” – THE IRISH TIMES, Dublin.

Kath Tait:
She writes songs that aren’t about love. Plays guitar, concertina and
harmonica. Quite often juxtaposes serious or profound issues with a mad
sense of humour.
Delivered with a kind of Buster Keaton approach. Expect the kind of
lyrics you can put in songs when you’re not trying to get airplay.
