A friendly evening of music featuring:
Kate Williams and Dave Thorpe: Regulars on the London acoustic circuit,
this Mandolin/Guitar/Bazouki combo deliver irresistable original
instrumentals plus earthy vocals and a tasty selection of the finest
country-folk songs. Their first album, ‘outside’, is now available and
features mostly original tunes and songs but also includes their own
arrangements of more traditional material.
Armorel Weston: is a vocalist/bass player who wrote songs and performed
with a duo called “The Children” for many years. Now she is branching
out on her own, although often in the good company of Adrian on
guitar/vocals and Antonio on violin. She performs a blend of soulful,
poetic pop songs with blues, jazz and folk influences. A powerful and
John Arthur: is the most literate rock and roller you’ve ever heard.
Possibly because he’s also an author.
You’ll find yourself bopping along to catchy pop songs with the most
intriguing lyrics. A charming modern troubador and a veteran of the
London acoustic scene, he was also the guitarist and songwriter in the
1990s acoustic trio “Fancy Footwork” .
John Peacock: A seriously good guitar player, who writes quirky and
philosophical jazz songs that pack a powerful punch. He delivers all of
this with slightly off the wall and humorous repartee. He’s released
three albums of songs and he’s also plays guitar for English Chanson
singer/songwriter Philip Jeays.
