Pear O’Legs Records Presents is back at The Harrison in March bringing you the best in contemporary folk music.
Joyously jovial yet sincere and poignant Whiskey Moon Face are something special indeed. This London based three piece combine accordion, double bass and clarinet alongside Louisa’s ethereal vocals to create a sound both rooted in the folk traditions of Eastern European Klezmer and New Orleans Jazz that is also strikingly original. Music meets physics, as this group offer you the answers to the universe and everything, if only we had the means to understand it. But words cannot describe the raw talent, creativity and passion that these musicians possess, the only way to find out is to listen to them.
They’re be releasing two new albums in February 2018.
After very wide musical exposures in his early life, Charlie Stott took a deep dive into folk and blues in his mid-teens (particularly Dylan, Mississippi John Hurt, Woody Guthrie and John Martyn). He is now building on these historic folk roots for our own time.
Charlie loves playing for friends in informal settings and thanks entirely to word of mouth is now playing the London circuit. By combining irresistible melodies and chords with genuine and human lyrics Charlie is winning fans over with every gig.
